Arlene Wilson-Max has dedicated 23 years working towards the development of businesses throughout all sectors of industry. With vast experience in sourcing products, setting up business linkages, and facilitating incoming and outgoing trade missions, she has grown her network into 15 African Countries. She is the Director of "Innovative Entrepreneurs," which is a non-profit organization that focuses on initiatives that lead to income-generating activities and market access for Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.

Head of Government & External Affairs

Mbasa Kepe is currently the Head of Government and External Affairs at BMW South Africa and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge in the automotive sector. His career spans over 25 years in the automotive industry, having worked in various positions in After-sales, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy. Mbasa holds postgraduate and undergraduate qualifications in Economics and Engineering.

AUDA – NEPAD EXPERT

Dr. Mustafa Sakr is the Principal Program Officer leading the Trade and Markets Unit at the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). He brings over two decades of professional expertise in multilateral economic diplomacy, including 11 years of extensive fieldwork across Africa and within the African Union framework. Dr. Sakr’s commitment to advancing international trade and industrialization is reflected in his robust research efforts, which have resulted in a distinguished publication record. He holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in economics from Cairo University, Egypt.

Cas Coovadia is the Sherpa for B20 South Africa, the official business engagement group of the G20, appointed to lead South Africa's hosting of the B20 in 2025 by Business Unity South Africa (BUSA). He retired as the CEO of BUSA in December 2024, having led the organisation for almost five years. Cas previously spent 15 years as Managing Director of The Banking Association of South Africa (BASA), where he established the organisation as a leading voice for the banking sector.
